To test the full version before purchasing, you can find a time unlimited demo version on the download page in which all functions can be tested. The demo version allows to enter up to 50 people and all printouts are watermarked. However, you can open Ahnenblatt and GEDCOM files with more than 50 people to try them as well.
With the purchased license key you turn the demo version into a full version, whereby already entered data can be used immediately. The new installation file can easily be installed over an already installed demo version (without uninstalling previously) to have the additional graphics available.

Who is the upgrade suitable for?
The upgrade offer is aimed at all users who have already purchased a license for Ahnenblatt 3 and still have their license data for this version. The purchase price is then only half that of a full version.
Please note: the license data are not visible in an already installed program version, a link to the license data may not be sufficient (this may work for a few years – but not forever), first name/last name/email address are part of the license data and must always be entered as they were entered when ordering (even if there were changes or typing errors in the order), an upgrade from an old free 1.x/2.x version is not possible with this upgrade license (here the license for a full version must be purchased).
The data of the existing Ahnenblatt 3 license does not have to remain valid (e.g. changed surname due to marriage or changed e-mail address).

What are the differences entering the license data between the full version?
The license dialog of Ahnenblatt 4 shows if a licensed previous version was found on the computer. In this case, it is sufficient to enter the license data of the upgrade license of version 4 to activate Ahnenblatt.
If no previous version is found or if you are installing Ahnenblatt 4 on a new computer, first enter the license data for version 3 and then the license data for the upgrade license for version 4. Version 3 of Ahnenblatt does not need to be installed or called up for this.
